Winter Storm Forecast Mass Updates

Monsignor Hammond will be cancelling the 10am Mass at St. Luke (January 25) in Danville due to the predicted weather conditions.
In preparation for the forecasted winter storm, we want to remind the faithful to always use prudential judgment when traveling.
Whenever a county/city within the Diocese of Columbus is placed under a Level 3 Snow Emergency, driving is prohibited, and so all the faithful in that area are excused from the obligation to attend Mass. If the priest lives at the church, he may still decide to celebrate a public Mass for those who can safely walk to Mass if he deems it possible.
Regardless of the level of Snow Emergency, one who discerns it a danger to travel for Mass is excused from the obligation to do so (as is true of someone who is sick or otherwise impeded from safely traveling to or attending Mass).
For those who cannot attend Mass, you are encouraged to participate in Holy Mass via television, radio, or the internet, making a spiritual Communion.
If you need to find the emergency snow level for your county or the county that your parish is in, contact the local sheriff's office. You can find contact information for the Ohio county sheriffs here: https://buckeyesheriffs.org/contact-your-sheriff/
